USAFA Basic Cadet Training

A little more than the average incoming college freshman go through, Air Force cadets go through the assault course in Jacks Valley. New cadets will march back to the Academy after training . Check out Genna’s visit to Jack Valley.

Cadet Basic Training ends July 30, and the Cadets will recieve their first rank August 3rd. Their are currently 1,086 Basics, down 15 from the beginning of their stay in Jacks Valley. Tuskegee Airman

Franklin Macon will be awarded a replacement medal for his service with the Tuskegee Airmen Friday, July 22, after his was stolen in May.

Day 1 and Day 2 of US Womens Open Golf

Looks like the weather got the best of day 1 of competition as the first round got finished up on Friday, with the 2nd round playing into the evening. Mark caught the action on Thursday and our intern Genna Ord followed on Friday.
