Memorial Day

Endeavour’s last flight

Rough Landing

A California Air National Guard C-130 J  made  rough landing Sunday at the Colorado Springs Airport because of a problem with its rear landing gear. Mark was able to get out to see the aircraft make its approach.

We are experiencing a number of wildfires lately close into town. A very scary reminder of how dry our winter has been and how bad things could be later this spring and through the summer.

Bob McIntyre

Bob McIntyre, who has been the  Broadmoor Hotel’s official photographer for over 50 years passed away last week.  Mr. McIntyre has photographed so many of the celebrities, including seven presidents, that have come to visit Colorado Springs and stayed at the Broadmoor.  If you have seen his work, it is exhibited at the Wall of Fame in the Broadmoor West.

Longtime Broadmoor photographer Bob McIntyre stands in the hallway in Broadmoor West, where the walls are covered with celebrity portraits he has shot over the fifty-three years he has been working in the area.
