Millie Harrison, left, Alex Jakusovszky, Missy Uveges and Kim Wisham have a fun moment after completing a search and rescue drill during Summer Heat 2010. The annual program is for girls between the ages of 15-19. The mission of the program is to show that opportunities exist for women in the fire service and other public services. During the week long sessions, the girls will get educated in safety, fitness, nutrition and have an understanding of the rigors and physical requirements of a firefighter. At the completion of the camp they will become CPR certified. This summer 22 girls took part in the session. (The Gazette, Bryan Oller)
